Economic development and patents

Ing. Leopoldo Foster, of Fernandez Manzo, reflects on the links between education and development in the context of promoting innovation in Mexico.

Since the founding of Mexico as a political and economic entity, from the struggles of the independence movement and through discussions between federalists and monarchists centrists on the model that should be used to organize the new Mexican state, its various exponents started to form theories about the happiness of the inhabitants of Mexico and the ideal solution for how to achieve this goal. They discussed how other nations had preserved their traditions through progress, taking as models European nations and the strength of the economic-political project of the United States of America and how the industrialist paradigms derived from mechanization of the Industrial Revolution transformed the life of England and allowed it to become the queen of world trade and led to its global maritime power.
